Customising the Desktop
First things first, so what is the `Desktop?’ Well that is what you see after windows has loaded. They call it a `desktop’ as though it represents the top part of your desk in your office. It too may have some folders, files and so forth, either on top or stored in a drawer.
We all have different tastes, likes and dislikes and we are uniquely individual in many ways. Much like your home and it’s arrangement this is also echoed in your computer’s setup. You may be hard pressed to find any two people’s computer’s setup exactly the same. This also extends to how we customise our desktops.
Your desktop layout makes a statement about your personality and the way you like to have your computer setup. Microsoft and other vendors are well aware of this, and for this reason, have incorporated the ability to personally customize your desktop, in to their operating systems.
They have also allowed us to customise various things that reflect our personal flair, and include items such as, folders, icons, wall paper backgrounds’ and the size and shape of our desktop. I will address a few of these options and show you the easy way to customise them.
